An interesting trend I've noticed as of late is the proliferation of Macintosh computer systems among the Christian community. Please note that I make this statement entirely on a non-scientific basis! I know that the whole idea sounds preposterous, but it seems pretty evident to me that Christians favor the more intelligent choice in computing. |

I thought America needed a strong third party alternative party. Now that Barack Obama has a good chance to be the next President, I've changed my mind. I am confident that he and a continuing Democrat controlled Congress will accomplish everything I wanted in a new party. They will give us hope transformed into action. By controlling both the Executive and Legislative branches of government and placing progressive thinking justices on the Supreme Court bench, they will cut through the political gridlock and provide Americans with what they desire so much. For example, first it will take care of our struggling federal government employees by providing them with the best of working conditions, pay, health plans and retirement packages as fair and just compensation for their sacrifice. And by law and regulation they will see that state and local governments were required to provide equivalent packages to their public employees and all vendors and contractors. After that they will extend this to everyone by requiring or providing a fair living wage to each person according to their needs. |

Where would we be without the flushing toilet, Automated Production, or the transistor? Most people don't realize that there is a lot of technology and innovation that makes everything work for them and makes their life so much easier than it would be without them. Consider where we would be in regards to the state of the world without these common technologies.
I'm willing to bet that you don't even realize how much of an impact some of these actually have on your life. The list after the jump. |

Welcome to the New Amerika, Komrade.
The Democratic party is known for it's big government, high-control, and spend-like-crazy outlook on running the country, but Obama takes this far beyond the norm. The Obama camp has put together a very impressive website, arguably containing enough information to fill a small library and enough pictures of Obama with a halo to make even the most unbelieving atheist sick. Looking deeper into the site, however, leads one to assume that Obama Supporters either cannot read, or don't understand what his documents are actually saying.
Take, for example, his tax plan: A lot of cuts are going to be made in the area of taxes, yes, but at the cost of raising other taxes a lot more. They clearly state in "Obama's Plan For America - Fiscal" that "Obama will reinstate pay-as-you-go (PAYGO) budget rules, so that new spending or tax cuts are paid for by spending cuts or new revenue elsewhere." "New revenue elsewhere," for those of you who didn't know, translates into "New taxes and tax hikes." So, for the record, you can expect that not only will you be getting all that change that he's haranguing, but you'll be getting change in other areas - most notably in a reduction in your paycheck or monthly account balance. Yes, it is very likely that Obama's new revenue sources will come from higher taxation for corporations, but do you really think that the corporations pay those taxes? When a corporation has a tax increase, they raise the cost of goods and services, forcing the consumers to pay for their increased costs. (read more link below.) |
